Bridge between research and industries

Center National for Evaluation of Photoprotection

We assist companies, research organizations and innovation centers in their development, sustainability or analysis of polymeric materials

Offers, services and advice, we are listening you

Since 1986, the CNEP has supported you in understanding the aging phenomena of your polymer materials.
Thanks to our expertise and our knowledge of chemistry, we can guide you in order to effectively control the durability or degradation of your products.
In addition, our skills in plastic material analysis and our numerous scientific devices allow us to respond to your requests for characterizations or expert assessments of failures.

State-of-the-art aging and analysis equipment

Established in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region near Clermont-Ferrand (France) over more than 1500m², our laboratory has one of the largest parks of accelerated photo-aging chambers, ventilated and climatic ovens as well as more specific durability or aging prediction devices. The CNEP also has a wide range of physico-chemical analysis devices, including multiple spectrometers, microscopes, chromatographies or characterization devices. This equipment, covering a vast experimental and analytical field, allows us to respond quickly and efficiently to the numerous requests concerning polymer materials.

Worldwide areas of activity

Our main areas of activity and expertise include the sectors concerned by the use and future of plastics: sports and spare-time activities, agriculture, packaging or transport. We are also present in the fields of electricity and telecommunications, medical and of course in all fields of research related to polymers. We are in contact with more than 450 local, national and international companies

• l’orientation client ;
• l’implication du personnel ;
• l’approche processus ;
• l’amélioration continue ;
• la gestion par approche système ;
