Prediction of the service life of a material used outdoors

In order to develop for the commercialization of new parts we must be able to ensure a lifetime of the polymer materials involved according to the constraints of use of parts

First contact

After an exchange between the project manager and a CNEP manager, a study is proposed taking into account the expectations of the project and the samples available for the study. After agreement, an estimate and a deadline for completion of the study are proposed

Receipt of samples and start of study

The samples received at the CNEP are referenced in our Quality system and then formatted by us to meet the expectations of the project and the requirements of our accelerated aging equipment.

Accelerated exposure in SEPAP

The chemical evolutions and hues during exposure in accelerated photo-aging chamber SEPAP are followed by FTIR and by UV-Visible in order to have a global vision of the mechanisms involved.

Detailed report

At the end of the planned exposure period a report gathering all the analyzes and evolutions of the materials as well as a report allowing to give an estimate of the lifespan of the different materials is transmitted to Mr X who can ask advice to the responsible research team writing the report

Summer break

The CNEP will be in very reduced activity from August 10 to 15, 2020, contact us preferably after this period.
