years of research

Coming from a fundamental research laboratory, CNEP supports companies (Large Groups, ETIs and SMEs), Research Organizations and Innovation Devices for more than thirty years.

Funding of the Photochemistry laboratory
Since 1972, the Laboratory of Molecular and Macromolecular Photochemistry (UMR CNRS 6505) of the Blaise Pascal University (today UCA) and of the National School of Chemistry of Clermont-Ferrand (today SIGMA) investigate the mechanism of the photochemical ageing that control the long-term behavior of polymeric materials under outdoor conditions
Funding of the CNEP
The growing knowledge of ageing mechanisms of polymeric materials led to various industrial developments, requiring the funding of CNEP in 1986 with the goal of investigating issues associated with optimization of the polymeric materials durability.
Building extension
CNEP kept on developing by extending its building to reach 1500 m2.
