Supply of lamps for photoaging devices SEPAP 12.24

Until 2019, the POLAMP company manufactured this type of lamp in Europe and was able to supply users of SEPAP 12.24.

Today, its stock being exhausted and the demand having considerably decreased, this company decided to stop the production of this type of Lamp.

The search by the CNEP for a new supplier has so far not been successful.

The SEPAP 12.24 device has not been marketed by ATLAS-AMETEK since 2015. This model has been replaced by the SEPAP MHE device jointly developed by CNEP and ATLAS-AMETEK. This accelerated photoaging chamber is able to reproduce the same photoaging conditions as the SEPAP 12.24 (in ME: Medium Energy mode) and it also offers the possibility of further accelerating aging (in HE: High Energy mode).

The SEPAP MHE device is also equipped with a filtered medium pressure mercury vapor source, but of suitable design.

The cessation of marketing of the device and the impossibility of obtaining sources of supply condemn the use of SEPAP 12.24 in the medium / short term.

In order to prevent SEPAP 12-24 users from suddenly stopping their tests, the CNEP offers to support them according to the following proposal:

  • Supply of lamps from its own stock, up to a maximum of 2 lots (ie 1 full-time year), in order to continue the tests, or provision of CNEP SEPAP 12.24 enclosures for the performance of these tests;
  • Support for Companies in the development of new tests as part of the transition to a SEPAP MHE device (same as SEPAP 12.24 in ME mode or upgrading to HE if possible).
